Thursday Night Double Header for the Bees

The Stephenville Honeybees Varsity softball team took the field for a doubleheader Thursday night, splitting their matchups against Chisholm Trail and Burleson. In Game 1, the Honeybees secured a 6-2 victory over the Rangers behind a strong performance from pitcher Ava Williams. Williams dominated in the circle, allowing just two hits over four innings while striking out four batters. At the plate, Kodee Self led the offense with two hits, helping the Bees maintain control and cruise to the win.

Game 2 proved to be a tougher challenge as the Honeybees fell to the Burleson Lady Elks. Despite a solid effort at the plate from Presley Gaitan, JC Smith, and Kodi Thompson, who each recorded a hit, the Bees couldn’t generate enough offense to pull ahead. With the split results, Stephenville’s record now stands at 6-3-1 as they continue to build momentum heading into their next matchup.
