Honeybees Take Care of Business Under the Friday Night Lights

STEPHENVILLE, Texas – The Honeybees took care of business Friday night by defeating Lampasas High 6-0 confidently.

The Honeybees commanded the game early on, outscoring and out-defending Lampasas High 2-0 in the first 40 minutes of the game. This first-half command was led by Talon Philips and Lucy Espinoza, who both found the back of the net to set the tone.

In the second half, Lucy Espinoza and Talon Philips continued to dominate Lampasas High’s defense, each contributing a goal. Reese Schrutka joined the action, adding another goal to seal the dominant win.

This Honeybee defense has been a force to reckon with in district play and securing their third consecutive district shutout. The Honeybees further their reign in district play, advancing to 3-0 and 5-4-1 overall. Over district play, the Honeybees have stretched their score differential to 18-0.

Next, the Honeybees will face Brownwood on Tuesday, Feb. 18, and they look to continue dominating undefeated district play.
