Stephenville Track & Field Shines at Area Meet

Abilene, TX – The Stephenville High School boys and girls track and field teams continued their stellar season on Friday, competing in the Area Championships held in Abilene. Qualifiers from last week’s District 5-4A and 6-4A meets came together for a chance to advance to the Regional Finals in Lubbock, set for April 18–19 at Texas Tech University.

The Stephenville Boys Team dominated the meet, capturing the Area Championship with an impressive 152 points, far ahead of second-place Lubbock Liberty, which tallied 84.5 points.
The Stephenville Girls Team also delivered a strong performance, finishing second overall with 84 points, behind Brownwood, who won the event with 216 points.

The top four finishers in each event qualified for next week’s Regional Meet in Lubbock. Here are the Jackets and Honeybees moving on:
