Stephenville Tennis Falls To Vernon in Area Round

Wichita Falls TX – The season came to an end on Thursday for Stephenville Team Tennis as they fell to the No. 8–ranked Vernon, 4–15, in the Area round of the playoffs.

Despite the loss, the Bees had a strong showing, earning victories in the contest. The duo of Olivia Cortez and Rose Cordes captured a win in girls doubles, while both players also secured victories in their singles matches. Katy Heller added to the total with a win in singles.

Although the Team Tennis fall season is over, Stephenville finishes among the top 64 teams in the state out of 128 who made the playoffs in Class 4A.

Spring tennis will begin in January, and Coach Martin is optimistic about the upcoming season.
