Stephenville Burns The Wood In Thriller, Captures District Runner Up

Brownwood TX – Stephenville Team Tennis went to Brownwood and won in thrilling fashion with a 10-9 victory of district rival Brownwood. Helping secure the win was an outstanding performance from the Bees, who swept both girls doubles and singles.  Despite some close matches, Bryson Hutchins won the lone match for the Jacket in singles, (6-4, 6-1).

Tonight’s win wraps up District 7-4A play with a record of 3-1.  Playoffs begin next week with the Bi-District round.  Stephenville’s opponent is Eagle Mountain High School, who was third place in District 8-4A.  The Bi-District match will be Tuesday, October 7th at Granbury High School, with first serve at 10 am.
