Stephenville Baseball Lets Lead Slip Away to Grandview

Stephenville—Three errors that led to four unearned runs in the fifth inning proved too much for the Jackets to overcome in their 5-2 loss to Grandview. Mason Weyers, Gunner Stone, Cutter Pack, Tanner Smith and Cade Whitehead all had singles for Stephenville. Cooper Rudd had one RBI. Starter Ryan Baldwin went four innings with Jayden Ferguson and Everado Campos throwing in relief. The three pitchers would combine to only allow one earned run.

This was game three of the Leslie Hughes Invitational tourney. The Jackets will complete tournament action with games four and five tomorrow against Lubbock Cooper Liberty and Whitney. Stephenville is now 2-2-1 in the early season.
