Parker’s Homerun Lifts Bees Over Lady Pirates

Stephenville TX – A two run blast by Senior third baseman, Macy Parker was just what Stephenville needed to roll past Granbury 5-3.  With the game tied 3-3, in the bottom of the sixth inning, Mattie-Lynn Dunnam doubled on a line drive to left field.  Ava Williams then doubled to center field, driving in Dunnam.  With Williams on second, Macy Parker stepped up to the plate, belting a home run to center field, plating Williams and herself.  The defense held on in the top of the seventh to seal the victory.

Offensively, Dunnam, Ally Ellibee and Parker led the way with two hits apiece, with Ellibee and Parker each collecting a homerun.  Marin Hill threw a complete game, giving up three runs on five hits but striking out 17.  Hill also reached a milestone on Monday with 100 career strikeouts.

Stephenville travels to Maypearl on Friday, March 13, first pitch at 7:00 p.m.
