Stephenville, TX– Coming off the first loss in district this past Tuesday in Glen Rose, the Jackets responded in a big way with a 10-2 win over the Tigers. The victory over Glen Rose tied their series and kept Stephenville within one game of district leading Brock.
Stephenville wasted no time early in the game on Friday. The Jackets plated four in the first and never looked back. In that first inning, Cutter Pack, Ethan Schindler and Kole Davis all hit extra base hits to lead to the four runs.
After a run was knocked in by Gunner Stone in the third inning, Stephenville exploded for five more in the fourth. Runs were knocked in by Trot Jordan, Pack, Davis and Stone.
Starter Davis got the win with Roston Wienecke and Owen Bohannon pitching in relief. Defensively, the Jackets did not commit an error in the field while Glen Rose committed four.
Next up for Stephenville will be the Graham series. The Jackets will be at the Steers Tuesday evening and then return home Friday.
