Honeybees Unable to Defeat China Springs

Stephenville, TX – The Honeybees battled hard on the field, with Ava Williamson and Presley Gaitan handling pitching duties. Meg McGregor led the offense with three total bases, including a double, while Reese Haggard also knocked a double and collected two total bases. Jayci Smith and Koedee Self each added to the offensive effort with a base apiece. Aggressive baserunning kept the pressure on China Springs, as Emma Rose Villegas swiped two bases, joined by Jayci Smith, Meg McGregor, Mattie-Lynn Dunnam, and Macy Parker with stolen bags of their own. Dunnam also took one for the team after being hit by a pitch, while Kodi Thompson was caught stealing in a tough moment. Despite their fight, the Honeybees came up short in a 12-4 loss, but their grit and determination were on full display.

The Honeybees will be coming back with an eye on the prize, Friday when they match up against Maypearl.
