Honeybees & Tooley Shine at State!

Round Rock, TX – It was only the second time in school history that Stephenville qualified for the UIL Cross Country State Championships — and the Honeybees, along with standout Yellow Jacket Jacoby Tooley, made sure to make it count.

The Honeybees put together an incredible team performance, finishing 9th overall in Class 4A, officially placing them among the Top 10 teams in the state of Texas!

Leading the pack for Stephenville was Halle Rust, who crossed the line in 11th place with a time of 11:35.0, just missing a spot on the medal stand. Bellamy McEvoy followed with a strong 12:05.8, while Rebekah Evans finished at 12:46.5, Miley Magin at 12:51.0, Kathryn Wuensche at 12:55.8, Gracie Pisano at 13:37.4, and Mercedes Cordes at 13:49.9, rounding out a resilient and unified team effort.

On the boys’ side, Jacoby Tooley represented the Yellow Jackets in spectacular fashion, bringing home a 10th-place state medal with an impressive time of 15:49.0.

What a season for Stephenville Cross Country — history made, medals earned, and a community proud.
