Honeybees Fall in Penalty Kicks to Brownwood in First District Loss

BROWNWOOD, Texas – The Honeybees dropped their first district game on a chilling Tuesday afternoon, falling 1-1 (2-3) in penalty kicks against Brownwood High.

Reese Schrutka was the sole scorer during regulation as the Honeybees pushed the game into penalty kicks in frigid conditions, with wind chills reaching 13°.

Despite the loss, the Honeybees’ defense remains dominant, having allowed only one goal over their past four district games.

The Honeybees will look to bounce back and start a new streak on Friday against Little River Academy, a team they previously defeated 5-0.
