Honeybees Fall After Maypearl Rallies Late

Maypearl TX – Stephenville Honeybee hit the road to Maypearl on Friday falling in late innings 6-4.  The Bees kept is close until the bottom of the fifth when Maypearl took the lead and held on to defeat Stephenville.

Leading offensively for the Bees, Ava Williams was 2-4 on the day, Mattie-Lynn Dunnam went 1-3, scoring two runs, while Macy Parker had one hit and one RBI.  Fallan Everett lead the team in RBI’s with two.

Marin Hill started in  the circle for Stephenville, she allowed four hits and three runs, all unearned, while walking three and striking out two.

District play begins on Tuesday, March 17, as Stephenville hosts the Graham Lady Blues, first pitch at 6:30 p.m.  Stephenville’s record now stands at 11-9-1 on the season.
