Honeybees 1-1 in Day 2 of Tournament in Saginaw

Saginaw, TX — After splitting their two games on Tuesday, the Stephenville Honeybees advanced to the consolation championship of the 68th Annual Whataburger Tournament in Saginaw.

In the opening game of the day, Stephenville came up just short against Sunnyvale, falling 46–39.

The Honeybees rebounded in their second matchup, edging Lorena 39-37. The victory over the Lady Leopards, sends Stephenville to the consolation championship game, where the Bees will face Mabank on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m.

Following tournament play, Stephenville will play one final game before district action begins. The Honeybees are scheduled to take on West on Tuesday, January 6, at 6:15 p.m.
