Gonzalez Signs with Nelson University

Stephenville, TX – Last night marked a milestone for Honeybee standout Mackenzie Gonzalez, as she officially signed to continue her athletic and academic journey at Nelson University in Waxahachie.

Over the past four years, Mackenzie has carved out an impressive legacy at Stephenville High School. A four-year varsity soccer player, she served as team captain this past season, helping lead the Honeybees to a district championship. 

Beyond the soccer pitch, Mackenzie made her mark on the track as well. As a relay runner for the Honeybee track and field team, she helped set school records in both the 4×100 and 4×200 meter relays—earning hardware at the state level and further cementing her place among Stephenville’s elite athletes.

Mackenzie’s commitment, character, and competitive spirit have made her a standout in every sense of the word.
