Cordes Wraps Up Historic Run at Tennis State Tourney

San Antonio, TX – After leaving it all on the court, Rose Cordes’ incredible run at the 2025 UIL State Tennis Championship has come to an end. Competing in the quarterfinals, Cordes put up a strong fight but ultimately fell short with a final score of 1-6, 3-6.

Rose played with the same grit and determination that defined her season, and her journey made history—becoming the first Stephenville High School tennis player to qualify for the State Finals Tournament.

Great job, Rose—you represented Stephenville well and we can’t wait to see you back on the court next year!
