Bees Comeback Falls Short at Brock

Stephenville traveled to the undefeated and number two ranked team in the state on Wednesday. It appeared that the game would go as many would expect with the Bees trailing 6-1 midway through the contest. That’s when the comeback versus Brock would begin. Stephenville would score four unanswered over the last few innings, including back to back doubles in the 7th that would pull them within one. However the tying run would be stranded at second in that final inning and the Bees would fall 6-5.

Offensively, Macy Parker, Meg McGregor, Presley Gaitan, and Reese Haggard each had two hits, with Gaitan driving in a team-high two runs.

Stephenville now goes to 0-2 in district with two heart-breaking one run losses. The Bees will try to bounce back on Tuesday next week as they host Brownwood.
