Bees Clinch Playoff Berth in Win over Mineral Wells

Offensively, Stephenville collected six hits with Freshman Kodi Thompson going 3 for 3 with one run batted in.  Jayci Smith was 2 for 2 with one walk and Molly Hatton had one hit in two at bats with one walk.  The Honeybees were patient at the plate with three bases on balls and no strikeouts.  Going into the bottom of the fifth, Stephenville was down 1-2, Gatian reached on an error, Ava Williams came in to courtesy run for Gaitan.

Smith was next up, she singled on a line drive to center field, advancing Williams to second.  Pinch runner Presley Tally came in to run for Smith, Macy Parker grounded out to the third baseman, advancing the runners.  Koedee Self hit a ground ball to reach on an error which scored Williams and Tally to put the Bees up 3-2.  Presley Gaitan and the Stephenville defense held the Lady Rams scoreless the rest of the game.
