A Championship Legacy Through the Years

Stephenville, TX – Fresh off another state title, the Stephenville Yellow Jackets once again stand on top of Texas high school football — and history shows this moment is nothing new.
With the 2025 Class 4A Division I state championship, Stephenville has now claimed seven football state titles, remaining a perfect 7-0 in UIL championship games.
The Yellow Jackets’ championship run began in the 1990s, winning back-to-back Class 4A titles in 1993 and 1994, followed by Class 4A Division II championships in 1998 and 1999. Those four titles firmly established Stephenville as a statewide powerhouse.
After a brief gap, Stephenville returned to the championship stage in 2012, capturing the Class 3A Division I title with a commanding 70-35 win.
The Jackets added another chapter in 2021, finishing 16-0 and winning the Class 4A Division I state championship with a 38-21 victory over Austin LBJ.
Now, following a 10-0 shutout of Kilgore at AT&T Stadium, Stephenville has added its seventh state championship to an already historic program.
In Stephenville, championships aren’t remembered as moments — they’re carried forward as expectations.
