Honeybees Shut Out Gatesville High in Dominant 7-0 Victory

GATESVILLE, Texas – The Honeybees soccer team delivered a commanding performance Tuesday night, shutting out Gatesville High School 7-0 in a decisive district matchup.
The Honeybees took control early, building a 5-0 lead by halftime. Vanessa Gonzalez led the offense with two goals, while Chandler Glasgow, Sofia Slaby, Gabby Robles, Talon Philips, and Reese Schrutka each added a goal to secure the win.
The team’s defense was equally dominant, preventing Gatesville from registering a single goal. With the victory, the Honeybees improve their record to 4-4-1 overall and 2-0 in district play. Over their past two games, they have outscored opponents 12-0, potentially creating a narrative of their position as a top contender in the district.
Up next, the Honeybees will face Lampasas High School on Friday, Feb. 14, in a pivotal matchup as they aim to maintain momentum heading into rest of the season.
