Stephenville Cross Country Competes in State Preview

Round Rock TX – On Friday, in the Hoka McNiel XC Invite in Round Rock the Honebees placed in the top 10 and the Jackets in the top 25 among top runners in Class 4-A.

Stephenville placed 7th overall in the Class 4-A Girls Division.  Those competing for the Bees were Halle Rust (29th, 12:13.2), Kathryn Wuensche (53rd, 12:37.7), Miley Magin (72nd, 12:51.6), Bellamy McEvoy (12:52.3), Rebecca Evans (112th, 13:23.3), Reesleigh Wilson (135th, 13:35.2), Emery Dirickson (186th, 13:57.2), Grace Walton (226th, 14:17.7), Sydney Damewood (234th, 14:20.2), Sofia Slaby (264th, 14:38.9).

In the Boys Division, the Jackets placed 24th.  Competing for the Yellow Jackets were Caleb Singleton (57th, 17:41.2), James Edwards (114th, 18:20.4), Weston Bartee (153rd, 18:47.8), Josh Hall (161st, 18:54.1), Mark Dolloff (214th, 19:21.4), Gentry Ritchey (19:25.8), Houston Herbst (232nd, 19:31.0), James Bayer (19:45.9).

Jacoby Tooley competed in the Boys Gold Division on Saturday.  Tooley finished 94th overall with at time of 16:41.6.

The Bees and Jacket are back in action on Wednesday September 23.  Stephenville will host The Thrill of the Hill Invitational at Stephenville City Park.
