Yellow Jackets Homecoming Showdown & Honor 9/11 Anniversary

STEPHENVILLE, TX — On Friday, September 11, the Stephenville Yellow Jackets will welcome Lubbock Cooper to Art Briles Stadium on Mike Copeland Field for a Homecoming matchup under the Friday Night Lights.

This year’s game will carry an even deeper meaning as special tributes throughout the evening honor the 25th anniversary of September 11, 2001.

During Friday night’s game, the Stephenville community will pause to remember the thousands of innocent lives lost on 9/11, while honoring the brave first responders, military members, and everyday heroes who answered the call in the aftermath.

The tributes will provide an opportunity for everyone in the stadium to reflect on the courage, sacrifice and unity that emerged from one of the darkest days in our nation’s history.

As the Yellow Jackets and Lubbock Cooper take the field at 7:00 p.m., we invite everyone to join us in honoring those we lost and remembering the heroes who gave so much.
