Bees Softball Comes Up Short Against Lady Tigers

Glen Rose TX – The Honeybees dropped the final game in the first round of district play to the Glen Rose Lady Tigers on Tuesday 5-4.  Stephenville got on board first with a single by Ava Williams that scored one run.  Kenzie Black grounded into a fielders choice in the second that added another run.

In the third inning, Senior catcher, Fallon Everett hit a double plating one.  In the bottom of the third, Glen Rose tied the game 3-3 on a couple of errors by Stephenville.  Glen Rose took the lead in the bottom of the fourth on a double that scored two runs.

Ava Williams was 2 for 4 with 2 RBI’s on the night.  Aislyn Willis went 3 for 3 and Mattie-Lynn Dunham was 2-2.

Junior Marin Hill threw a complete game for Stephenville.  She gave up 5 runs on 10 hits, none of the runs were earned and walked zero.

Stephenville falls to 2-3 in district play.  The Bees travel to Graham on Thursday, April 2, to face the Lady Blues at 6:30 p.m.
