Bees and Jackets Fall to Brownwood in Close Contests

Stephenville TX – Stephenville and Brownwood came into Tuesday’s match both 2-0 in District 6-4A.  When time expired the Bees and Lady Lions were tied 2-2.  Scoring goals for the Honeybees were Bree Nitschke and Natalie Estrada.

Due to district rules, the game cannot end in a tie, so they went to penalty kicks to determine the winner.  Brownwood came out on top on penalty kicks, 4-3.  The Bees move to 2-1 in district play.

In the night cap, the Stephenville Yellow Jackets fell to the Lions 3-2 in a hard fought battle in District 6-4A.  The Jackets also move to 2-1 in district.

Stephenville host Little River – Academy on Friday, February 20, at Art Briles Stadium.  The Bees kick-off at 5:00 an the Jackets follow at 7:00.
