Rust Dominate in Hewitt Midway Invite

Waco TX – The Stephenville High School Cross Country Team made a strong showing against some very good competition at the Midway Hewitt Invite in Waco today.  The Honeybees were lead by Halle Rust, who flew through the course and posted a very impressive time under twelve minutes for the first time this season.

Stephenville Honeybees were 2nd place overall, missing 1st place by only one point.  As a team the Stephenville Jackets finished the day in 7th place.

Halle Rust led the Bees in 1st place with a time of 11:29.50.  She was followed by Miley Magin in 4th place at 12:23.00.  Bellamy Mcevoy and Rebekah Evans finished in 8th and 9th places, posting times of 12:50.68 and 13:01.23.  Despite a good race, no Jackets placed in the top ten.

Stephenville’s next meet is next Thursday, September 11th at the Haltom Buffalo Stampede.
